You might have not heard of the term Greenwashed, but there’s a chance you are aware of the practice in natural haircare products, especially those catered towards women with curly or kinky hair. Simply put, Greenwashed is when a product or brand claims to be natural, organic or toxic-free through misleading packaging and marketing claims, when in reality only a tiny percentage of ingredients in their formulation is derived from plants or natural-occurring substances.
